When the intern answers, tell them to pass the word to push Wisconsin’s Rep. Tammy Baldwin’s bill H.RES 1509 to a vote.  It repeals all of the impeachable offenses of the Bush regime by:

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the next president of the United States should immediately work to reverse damaging and illegal actions taken by the Bush/Cheney Administration and collaborate with Congress to proactively prevent any further abuses of executive branch power.

Baldwin hoppered it on September 26 and it’s sitting in Conyers’ House Judiciary Committee waiting for action. It’s also in such committees as the Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, and Intelligence. 

She was among House Judiciary Committee members who, in that special July 25 “non-hearing” set up by Chairman John Conyers, denounced the Bush regime for eight years of high crimes rising to the Constitutional level of standards for impeachment. She’s been a co-sponsor of every bill demanding impeachment investigations from the 109^th Congress (Conyers’ HR 635) to the current 110^th Congress (Kucinich’s H.RES 333/799 in the first session; 1258/1345 in the second). 

Baldwin was also targeted to lead the Nixon Flooding Plan by which nearly 40 House Democrats were urged to hopper individual impeachment bills on a daily basis. She was lobbied in mid-February by the three-member team from the Portland chapter of We the People National Coalition for Impeachment and by summer lobbying from NIN coordinators.

While speaking on the topic of impeachment Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) promised that after the November 4 elections, he would pursue legal actions against the Bush administration. Conyers is in a unique position to initiate impeachment. As the chair of the House Judiciary Committee (the body which would be responsible for initiating impeachment), he has been the sole obstacle to impeachment occurring ever since he and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took Impeachment "off the table."

However, now it appears that Conyers will be pushing impeachment. At the "Take Back America Conference" [held months ago], Conyers replied, "Yes, you have my word on that." He then shook the hand of a questioner resolutely. The Congressman was speaking in a panel, "The Republic Against the Rogue Presidency" [and]…described what was keeping him from pursuing impeachment. He said that he wanted to wait until Obama was elected, as he feared that impeachment would become an election issue.

  However, President-Elect Barak Obama cannot undo the damage of the Bush Administration without your help in laying the groundwork through impeachment hearings.  This is about preserving the future of our nation by demanding accountability.  Only impeachment can prevent George W. Are the ACLU and NLG doing any major pushes? What about international groups like Amnesty International?

Churches:  A church down the street from me in very Red Orange County has a banner which reads "Torture Is a Moral Issue". Perhaps through Sojourner Magazine, progressive Christians will see the need for justice? Perhaps AME Church will back it. Torture is a civil-rights issue.

The Ron Paul folks (who I've protested with against incumbent John Campbell) are already protesting for the closing of the Fed. Perhaps they'd be interested in joining on.

Everyone except us (including the media) have no idea what these criminals have done. It's up to us to sell impeachment to them.

We can set-up a sub-group and we can send impeachment messages to the BarackObama activists.  We have to sell our message to them:…. Why impeachment?  What will happen if we don't do it?

If someone can write it up, then we can post it.

….Everything else, IMO, is a waste of time because we can't impeach without Barack's intervention. We know everything there is to know about Pelosi and Conyers, don't we?  They are not our friends and they are definitely not willing to work hard now for anything but the economic stimulus package. 

So only Barack can tell them to do more than one thing.

We also know that ONLY impeachment will trump all of it.

Congratulations on your election. There is a feeling now that citizens will be heard, instead of ignored as happened with Cheney and Bush. Millions of citizens want Cheney and Bush held to account for their violations of the Constitution. Only impeachment will clear the air of the toxic effects of their law-breaking. Are they guilty of treason? We won't know unless we hold impeachment hearings.
